  The five R's:

Rest - Relaxation - Recreation - Renewal - Reverence

These five words help to sum up how many of us feel about Snowater.

Rest is for those who have toiled and worked hard all week.

Relaxation is for those who choose to spend some time, vacation or otherwise, in a laid-back mode.

Recreation is for those who want to ski, snowboard, swim, play tennis or racquetball or squash, or go for a walk and njoy nature.

Renewal is to make us new, or to refresh, revive.

Reverence is for our surroundings.

Reverence is described in the Webster's Dictionary as "A feeling of deep respect, love and awe. Veneration."

Pat and Don MacNaughton

Reverence. This is the word that best describes how the owners feel about  Snowater. We sensed it from Daryl McClelland, who sold us Gold Bug 502 in  1995, and who is also an owner. Don MacNaughton, one of the first owners,  used the word when he showed us the grounds and pointed out the source of  our water. Then there is Church Mountain, which has the magical ability to be right in front of us always, towering over Snowater, wherever we walk.

Cay and John Crowley

This project, a delight throughout, has had the fortunate consequence of  bringing together a couple from Canada and a couple from the U.S. as fast friends. Indeed, one of the many charms of Snowater is the bi-national character of the ownership. As John F. Kennedy said in a speech in Ottawa, Canada in 1961:

"Geography has made us neighbors. History has made us friends."

What follows is our modest gift to all of us at Snowater.
